for Newcastle Polytechnic's top student in transport and distribution management, has been won jointly by Helen Dent of Bishop Auckland, Co Durham, and Mark Davies of Newport, Shropshire. The award, which commemorates a former student killed in a road accident, also looks at performance in Chartered Institute of Transport exams. Dent and Davies, now management trainees with NFC-owned Alpine Refrigerated Deliveries and TNT Roadfreight respectively, were presented with the award by past-winner Chris Shaw.
