THE ALEX CAMERON lecture (CM November 12) may not mean much outside Institute of Road Transport Engineers circles but it is an annual lecture organised by the IRTE Scottish Centre in memory.of founder member Alex Cameron.
Your readers may also like to know, since you refer to the IRTE Solihull conference and exhibition how grateful we are to Dr Cedric Ashley who gave the Alex Cameron lecture. He stepped in at 48 hours notice at Solihull to make the speech because the general election having been announced, Mrs Lynda Chalker had to cancel all engagements.
