Mack Trucks produced fr January 1977 will requ engine servicing only evl 40,000km (25,000 miles) or months, while the chassis need attention every 80,0001 (50,000 miles).
To achieve these extend service intervals, the engi mounted lubrication oil filti have been increased from tl to three with Mack oil, ft and coolant filter elemer employed throughout.
An increased sump capaci and the use of a larger secc dary fuel filter and coola conditioner have also be added.
Chassis modificatioi include a permanently lub cated clutch release bearin improved driveline univers joint lube sealing ar improved lube seals on tl brake, cam shafts and suspe sion components.
