CHAMBERT AIN is for personal reasons resigning from the board of Barton Transport, Ltd., after 20 years.
MR. C. C. BARBOUR, who was previously sales manager in charge of the general marketing of light oil products and motor spirits, has been appointed general manager, as from January 1, of Fine Petroleum Products, Ltd. He will be responsible for co-ordinating the entire distribution and marketing activities of the company.
MR: HENRY RossiNoToN, retiring chairman of the National Conference of Road Transport Clearing Houses, has been appointed vice-president. He is succeeded as chairman by MR. N. F. BENNETT. of Richardson Transport Services, Ltd. Mr. Bennett was one of the founder-members of the Conference and is a member cf the National Council of the Road Haulage Association. MR. C. H. MATTHEWS (Matthews and Co. [Carriers), Ltd.) and MR I. W. ET-LIS (Pitt and Scott, Ltd.) have been appointed vice-chairmen, Mr. Ellis is also honorary treasurer.
