Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Farming Association

•• •

THE chairman of the Tractor Users' Association recently presented his annual report for the year ended September last, when he outlined some of the Major activities of the Association during that period. Much useful work has been carried out for members, and successful -negotiations have been conducted with various Government Departments in such matters as petrol rationing and liability for National Service. He intimated that when wartime conditions cease, many new problems will undoubtedly have to be laced,' and these will deMand that the Association be fighting fit, so that it can ensure a square deal for the power farmer.

One of the most important announcements which the chairman made was that, following an examination of the Assticiation's position and expanding policy., it was decided to recommend a complete re-organization which is now

in its cainclucling 'stages, and it is hoped that early in the New Year the Association will sail under a new title— The Power Farming Association,

This change has been made because it has been felt that the previous title no longer correctly represented the Association's sphere of activities. It has been giving service on practically. every kind of agricultural machinery and will widen its range as farming developments take place. A bolder policy is envisaged, and a number of new committees is to be set up. A particularly interesting development is that arrangements are being , made to build up a division of patrols of servicemen, who' will move about the Country visiting members and helping to solve their operating problem: . on the spot. These men will not undertake repair work, hat will inspect machines and give advice to operators and their drivers,
