Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I HAVE just read the article about MAN using EGR to meet Euro-4 (CM 3 August). It seems as though MAN is trying to put operators like myself off AdBlue, although only two weeks ago I was shown information from the Milan truck show about MAN's Euro-5 AdBlue Trucknology.

I am in a situation now where I do not know which side of the fence to sit on. Other operators who have had MAN Euro 4 demos say that the fuel consumption is far worse than that of a Euro-3,which sways me towards SCR.

The only hard evidence I have against EGR is this:I had a Euro3 BMW 320 diesel doing 48 mpg. I changed it for the same car but at Euro 4 and this is now only doing 40mpg.The same happened with a Mercedes C220 diesel.

MAN does not believe in the early introduction of Euro-5 as it is "not in the best interests of the market or environment". Does it really mean in the interests of MAN?
