Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Two road workers were killed last week when a truck collided with the back of their vehicle on the Al.

The Scania artic, driven by Brian Smith of Nuneaton, collided with the back of a flatbed truck from which signs were being unloaded on the northbound section of the road between Leeming and Catterick, North Yorkshire.

One of the road workers died immediately and the second died three hours later in hospital. The accident resulted in the closure of a section of the Alcor 12 hours. The driver who was working for Asda, was released on bail while police study the tachograph and consider charges.

• An 11-year-old schoolgirl was involved this week in an accident in which a truck drove over her stomach. The girl, said to be comfortable and stable after being airlifted to hospital, was believed to be with a group of youngsters playing near the A38 at the Berry Hill Industrial Estate at Droitwich when the accident occurred. West Mercia police are still trying to find out how the accident happened.
