Co Ltd, is to succeed John Hargreaves as general manager of the Northern Group of companies with effect from October 1. Mr Hargreaves has been appointed general manager of the Western Welsh Omnibus Co Ltd and chief general manager of the South Wales division of the Western region.
T. C. Archer, 26, a district traffic superintendent with Bristol Omnibus Co Ltd, becomes Poole area manager with Hants and Dorset Motor Services Ltd on September 1. He will be succeeding W. G. Seymour, who is to retire at the end of 1973.
R. B. Nelson, rail end shipping manager at Steetley Transport Ltd, Shireoaks, Worksop, has been appointed a member of the East Midlands Transport Users' Consultative Committee. Clir. K. M. Borrett, a transport manager and a member of Barnsley County Borough Council, becomes a member of the
Transport Users' Consultative Committee for the Yorkshire Area.
Frederick A. N. Cousins has joined TI Transport Equipment Services Ltd (Transervice-TI) as national accounts executive from Esso Petroleum.
Jean Pierre Wirz becomes Brussels-based manager and director of International Operations for Northern Europe of Universal Oil Products Co Ltd. He was previously general manager of UOP Bostrom (Belgium) SA.
Jack Scott-Ormsby retired this week from his position as training officer with the National Tyre Service.
OBITUARY
We record with regret the death of G. W. (Bill) Newbould.
Mr Newbould, 53, was managing director of Hofmann Balancing Techniques Ltd, chairman of the Garage Equipment Fellowship and member of the council of the Garage Equipment Association. He lived at Woodsetts, near Worksop.
