Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• As forecast (CM August 3), the entire share capital of Norfolk Lijn NV has been purchased by Unilever. The company was wholly owned by Mr L. Remeeus, chairman, and it is his intention to retire. In his place has been appointed Mr W. R. B. Dow who until now has been operations director of the Unilever packaging company, Thames Case Ltd.

Mr Dow, who is 45, started his career with the Reed Paper Group and was later in management consultancy before joining waste-paper merchants Alexander Jacob and Co in January 1955. Ten years later Thames Board Mills acquired Jacob and is now grouped under the name of Thames Board Mills Paper Stock Ltd. Mr Dow has become technical director with responsibility for over 200 vehicles.
