IN SOUTH AFRICA: Contracts recently received from South African operators by A.E.C. Ltd. total more than :Elm. All chassis will be supplied c.k.d. for assembly at A.E.C. Vehicles (S.A.) Ltd.'s plant, and will include 36 Mandator tractive units, 24 Mammoth Major six-wheelers, 20 Ranger heavy-duty bus chassis and 12. Regal Mk. VI bus/coach chassis.

HAROLD WOOD BOOST ORDER: Harold Wood and Sons Ltd., of Heckmondwike, has ordered 16 A.E.C. Mercury medium-weight tractive units, in addition to the 136 A,E.C. vehicles recently ordered. A.E.C. TANKERS FOR STOUT: Guinness Transport Ltd. has ordered six more A.EC, Mammoth Major chassis to be fitted with 2,800-gal. aluminium multi-compartment tanks by Mickleover Transport Ltd., of North London. They will be easily recognizable by virtue of their anodised exterior finish in place of the familiar dark blue livery in current use.

TEN POORE FOR PYE: Nine more Dennis Fax V pantechnicons and one Fax V tractive unit have been ordered by Eye Radio Ltd. SEMI TRAILERS FOR GROCERIES: Alfred Button and Sons Ltd. has ordered live Scammell 8-ton drop-frame semi-trailers to be fitted with box bodies.

STEPNEY ORDERS THREE: Following the introduction of the Dennis Model system of refuse collection, the Borough of Stepney has ordered three • tnore Paxii Major BA refuse collectors with bin hoist equipment.
