Ltd. is opening a new branch at Greenbrook Road, Lowerhouse, Burnley, Lancs.
The traffic shed has nearly 34,000 sq. ft. of covered space and the loading bank is 282 ft. long and can take 60 vehicles at one time. A 3-ft.-wide central conveyor belt down the centre of the shed will he used in conjunction with semi-live stillages and orthodox sack-truck operations.
About 100 staff will be employed at the branch, from which the present 47 vehicles of the Spafield Mill, Burnley, branch will be operated. Spafield Mill itself will be closed down.
