I BELIEVE your article "lime Critical International drowned by perfect storm' (CM 19 August) doesn't paint the whole picture.
It is easy for director Simon Marsh to say he can hold his head up high and he hasn't done anything wrong following a family dispute that should never have gone to court and a delayed €500,000 VAT rebate. But it takes two to make a court case and unless he had no grip on his business, he must have been aware that solicitors' bills were mounting, VAT payments were not coming in and his bank balance was heading south.
These things do not happen overnight, as he claims, and his attitude doesn't cut it for the people and firms whose money he spent who are now waiting for the administrators' report.
The article also states that a number of his other companies were not affected — as if to make it seem less of an issue — and that it would be fine if they were trading profitably.
