Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Ron Webb has been a member of Unite for 37 years and pried the union, then the Transport & General Workers Union, when he was a shop steward working on London buses in the 1970s.

In 1984 he was appointed full-time Unite officer for East London with responsibility for transport and the milk industry.

In 1995 he became the national officer for trans port and logistics and in 2000 moved into his current role of national secretary for transport.

Re retires from the post on 31 December. After a break from the industry to work on his house and garden, he hopes to return in some capacity.

"I'm considering tribunal work as a representative for the trade unions, consultancy and the possibility of returning to some manual work."
