It means a clean engine, freedom from many sources of engine breakdown and economy in both fuel and maintenance. It depends almost entirely on the fuel injection system. Simms equipment—regular Simms-serviced—is the key to it. The accurate metering of the in-line pump, with its sensitive governing and special excess fuel control, and the perfect atomisation and drop-tight closure of the injectors themselves make sure that the fuel you pay for is .put to work in the engine, not discharged half-burnt into the road.
