Frere Ltd., the Swiss Ligarex system of hose binding and jointing features the use of metal strip, supplied in roll form, which can therefore be applied to pipes and hoses of any shape or diameter. A suitable length of metal strip is wound round the joint and through a clip which is subsequently used to tension the strip with the use of a special tool.

Ligarex strip is available in galvanized steel or in stainless chrome nickel. Both strips are supplied in two widths, namely 5 mm. and 10 mm., the same tensioning tool being used for all applications.
