Conditions for the Third Annual Parade, 30th October, 1909.

The Executive Committee of the Commercial Motor Users' Association has decided, as we announced two weeks ago., to conduct, for the third year in succession, a meet and parade of vans, wagons and tractors, in London, at the end of next month, with the object of encouraging drivers of commercial motors to take a personal interest in the driving and condition of their vehicles, to run them without accident, and to devote to their work all possible care and skill. Fifty vehicles took part in the muster on the Thames Embankment, in October last, when the final adjudication was made, and it is hoped that the number will be considerably increased this year. Drivers of all classes of commercial motors (e.g., wagons, lorries, vans, tractors, etc.), whether steam or petrol driven, are eligible to enter and to compete for the prizes that are being offered by the Association. The drivers will be examined as to their knowledge and experience of their machines, and their knowledge of driving and of traffic regulations, on one evening during October, and the parade in London, to enable the judges to make the awards, will be held on Saturday afternoon, the 30th October, 1909, at 3 o'clock.

The following awards will be made at the discretion of the judges who have been appointed, and the preliminary elimination will be made after consideration of the schedule, which is published herewith :— First prize (steam) ... ... £5 First prize (petrol) ... £5
