'FROM November I the Perkins Group I will no longer charge extra for broken or damaged major components on engines returned under the concern's engine replacement scheme. All engines, except those now out of production— including the P3, C.305 and R6—come under the new scheme, which is given the name Perpetuity Plus. Previously, users of the Perkins engine replacement scheme have paid an additional sum if heads, blocks or crankshafts were beyond further use because of damage or a similar reason. North British Rubber Plans Big Expansion rkTEWBRIDGE, Midlothian, has been IN selected by The North British Rubber Co. Ltd. as the location for a new factory producing tyres and the cOncern's Royalite Thermoplastic. The site chosen has an area of 100 acres and is located only seven miles from the company's Edinburgh factory. Also announced by North British are plans for a new research centre to be established at Newbridge and an expansion of the Castle Mills, Ed:nburgh factory producing hoses. Total cost of the programme will be £7m.
