Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A SUFFOLK haulier at the centre of a Vosa investigation into cabotagc rules claims officers set up a five-car road block in a dramatic swoop on his company.

John Barrow, speaking for Mendlesham Group Haulage (MGH), based near Stowmarket, reports that six of the company's trucks were confiscated but he believes they will have to be returned next week.

Barrow adds that the Vosa operation relates to cabotage rules; MGH is believed to flag out some of its vehicles to Belgium. But Barrow says he is "not worried at all" about any investigation into the company's business activities.

Barrow says: -They chased [the trucks] all around the countryside. They've still got five;they'll have to give them back next week. One was in King's Lynn, one in Chelmsford; one in Newmarket and one at I xworth [near Bury St Edmunds]."

When CM contacted the firm's Stowinarket office Barrow answered the call but denied he was the owner or even a director of Mendlesham Group Haulage. He did say he was permitted to comment on behalf of the company.

Vosa declined to comment on any investigation into the company.
