Now this is the sort of makeover The Hawk can appreciate. This 1965 Reliant 1W9 ANT three-wheel tipper truck lay derelict for years before being rescued by Ian Wood (pictured) from Rye in East Sussex. The ANT had spent its working life at Radio City's Alexandra Park and later at a stables in Staplehurst, East Sussex. Ian bought the vehicle, which carries up to 16cwt, for just 250. But as you can see since then he has spent a Oat deal of time restoring it to pristine condition. This three-legger was recently registered for use on the road; with Ian behind the wheel the ANT can look forward to clocking up many more happy miles.
