Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Road safety campaign group Brake has got together with the Automotive Distribution Federation to organise a one-day conference for fleet engineers.

Commercial Vehicle Maintenance in the 21st Century will be held on 15 February 2001 at the headquarters of Volvo Truck and Bus in Warwick.

Topics addressed at the conference will include: developments in vehicle technology; the merits of contracting-out maintenance against keeping it in house; component quality; and the training and certification of mechanics.

Speakers will include John Parry, director of engineering at Exel Logistics and Steve Davis national service manager of TNT, but the conference is intended for fleets of all sizes and types.

Brake has also produced information sheets entitled Commercial Vehicle Safety— Maintenance and Specification, and Commercial Vehicle Safety—Brake Safety.
