Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ADMINISTRATORS working to keep chilled distribution firm Celsius First alive after it went into administration last week still hope to sell it as a going concern.

This could be good news for the creditors contacting CM who say the company owes them thousands of pounds.

David Chubb of PricewaterhouseCoopers says it is still too early to say how much Celsius First owes its 60 subcontractors, or if they will be paid.

"My team is working absolutely Hat out at the moment just to keep this business trading," he explains. "If we can maintain the service then that is the best chance we have of achieving a sale."

Matt McLanachan of Kilsyth. Scotland runs Mc Lanachan Transport; he is claiming £33.000 and believes that other hauliers are owed up to E100,000."It's a big dent." he says. "I would doubt very much if we're going to get any money."

Henry Carroll, of Henrys Transport in Lincolnshire, reports that he worked for Celsius First two years ago but lost E20.000 and his business when his factoring company was unable to retrieve money owed to it. All 10 of his vehicles worked for the temperature controlled distribution business.

"The whole thing was a bit messy, to he quite frank with you," he concludes. bridget.carter@rbi.co.uk
