Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Kleber Tyres, France's second largest tyre manufacturer which has been selling its car tyres in the UK for about a year, has now launched its V10 radial van tyres on this market. Radial tyres have already taken about 50 per cent of the car tyre replacement market and Mr Jean Austruc, general manager of Kleber Tyres Ltd,. sees an equivalent growth potential in the van-tyre market.

Although a large proportion of heavy vehicles already runs on radials, vans and the lighter trucks (up to 3.5 tons gvw) in general run on conventional cross-ply tyres.

Kleber offers a very wide range of steel radials in metric and inch sizes. Citroen and Peugeot vans can take the 380 and 400nnn sizes, for example, and the Mercedes-Benz Transporter range which uses English sizes, can take the 16in. tyres. A size of radial which is unique to Kleber is the 14in. This suits, for example Transit and CF vans. All sizes are available in tubed or tubeless form.
