Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Commercial vehicles in the Eighties will be one of the subjects at this year's national conference of the Institute of Road Transport Engineers, at Solihull Civic Hall.

Speaking on this topic on May 12 will be Mr J. Smallshaw, an IRTE member who is transport manager and engineer of Harrison's Dairies, Liverpool; Mr J. A. Davies, technical service manager of ERF Ltd; and Mr M. W. Ellis, senior engineer, traffic area branch, vehicle inspectorate division DoE.

In the business session on the previous day the subject will be commercial vehicle maintenance and annual inspections.

On both days there will be demonstrations of transport equipment in an adjacent hall.
