Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ryi Y R E servicing equipment manufac

tured by Nanno Th. Collmann of Lubeck, Germany, is now distributed in the U.K. by the Grantham Rubber Machinery Co., Ltd., Gonerby Hill Foot, Grantham, and it is planned to hold demonstrations of the equipment at Grantham on April 10 and 11.

Of the equipment currently imported, the Collmann hydraulic tyre mounting and dismantling press appears particularly interesting. This consists of a fabricated frame, big enough to accommodate all popular tyre sizes, which carries on its upper cross member two press claws. The position of these can be

• adjusted to suit rim rizes from 12 in, to 32 in. The press can be used for the fitting and stripping of lock rings, as well as tapered shoulder rings.

Underneath the bottom cross members of the frame, and fitted centrally between the press claws, is the hydraulic pressure cylinder and ram. The cylinder is sunk into the ground to obtain the lowest possible working height. An electricallydriven pump provides working pressure and a foot lever controls the piston movement as well as the pressure being applied. A roller conveyor is provided to help slide large wheels and tyres into the press.
