Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CHESHIRE-BASED logistics company Suttons Group has struck an £800,000 deal with trailer and body manufacturer Dennison for new trailers and the refurbishment of rolling stock.

The deal sees 35 slope frame ISO skeletal trailers enter the fleet in September to move tank containers between ports and railheads, and make customer deliveries, and the refurbishment of 55 trailers already on the fleet.

Group MD Andrew Palmer says the deal is another significant investment in equipment as the company continues to win new business and grow.

The investment follows contract renewals with chemicals producer Oleon and road fuels supplier Harvest Energy, and its £9.5m investment in 600 new ISO tanks from manufacturers in China and South Africa.

Tony Leighton, MD of the Road Tanker Division, says further deals will take place later this year. He is mindful of the Euro-6 deadline (31 December 2013) and expects Suttons’ procurement programme to make the most of Euro-5 availability in the next 18 months.

He is looking to strike a deal for 60 new tractor units and make another deal for 15 new trailers. The company runs 300 tractors and more than 430 trailers on chemical, fuel, food and gas contracts.

● Suttons Group has been shortlisted for the Safety In Operation award at the Motor Transport Awards, which will be held on 6 July.
