AXLE AND BRAKING system manufacturer BPW has added alloy wheels to its range of products. In partnership with Otto Fuchs it is offering the Eco Wheel in four sizes: 22.5x11.75; 22.5x9.00; 22.5x8.25 and 17.5x6.75.
Wheels weigh between 14.8kg for the smallest sizes and 26.4kg for the largest. In comparison to a set of steel wheels on a tri-axle trailer, the Eco wheel saves the operator 120kg.
Sales and marketing director Neil Groves says BPW will sell its tyres wholesale, retail and into aftermarket through its dealer network. “BPW showed the wheels at IAA 12 months ago and got very good feedback,” he says.
