Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ST HELENS-BASED Renault dealership Woodwards Truck & Van Centre is selling Midlum 7.5-tonner box vans by having them converted into double-sided dropsides using GRP from the redundant box body.

"It's used to make the sides and the tailgate," says used sales manager Brian Morris. "The conversion retains the vehicle's original headboard, which is cut down, and the original floor, which is painted black. The sides are painted to match the cab.

"Obviously, corner posts have to be fitted, along with all the hinges and catches that are required," he continues."GRP is robust, it doesn't rot, and we can soon get a replacement side made up for the operator if one does happen to split."

An X-plated version dating from 2000 costs approximately £11,000, and the vehicles aren't just attracting interest from local firms.

"Dropsides at this weight seem to be in short supply elsewhere in the country," Morris concludes. "We've just sold one to a customer in the Isle of Wight."
