LLATEST development by Dunn's Motors, Ltd., of Taunton and Spencer (M'elksham), Ltd., who combine to produce bodies for bulk handling vehicles, is the DunnSpencer Bulkflo. This unit has been designed specially for the transport of all types of animal feeding stuffs, and incorporates pneumatic loading and unloading equipment.

The body, which is built by Dunn's Motors, is double-skinned and its capacity can be varied to suit particular requirements. In addition, any number of internal partitions can be fitted to divide the load space into separate compartments. This allows diverse loads to be carried.

Three types of roof are available—a plastic-impregnated waterproof sheet covering the whole area; a semi-rigid roof with a 3 ft. 6 in. wide Vynide sheet running the full length of the body; and completely rigid roof. Also, there are two types of rear door arrangement, both allowing access to the body, if sacked goods are carried.

Pneumatic equipment is supplied and fitted by Spencer (Melksham), Ltd. That for load discharge is mounted at the rear of the vehicle beneath the chassis. When pneumatic loading also is required, equipment for this is located at the front of the rear panel.

A Bulkflo body has recently been built on a Thames Trader 7-ton longwheelbase chassis for The British Oil and Cake Mills, Ltd., Bristol. Capacity of this body is 500 cu. ft. and there are four compartments. The partitions are fitted with special locking mechanisms and it is said that they can be removed in five minutes for conversion to sack use. Pneumatic loading and discharge equipment is fitted and a waterproof sheet is used to cover the load space
