fiEMBERS of the Road Haulage AssoIVA elation are being asked to put forward suggestions to help the Rochdale Committee recently set up by the Minister of Transport to inquire into the major ports of Britain. Specific examples of delays and difficulties experienced by hauliers are particularly wanted. The information will be collected by areas and office.collated at the Association's head The decision on this point was made at a meeting of the Traffic Committee of the Association last week. The Committee reappointed Mr. J. T. Turner (Joseph H. Turner (Transport), Ltd., Grecnford) as chairman and Mr. P. H. R. Turner (Thomas Allen, Ltd., London) as vicechairman.
THE PERKINS WORKSHOP
A NEW motor vehicle workshop named after Mr. Frank Perkins, founder and chairman of F. Perkins, Ltd., has been officially, opened at Peterborough Technical College. The workshop is equipped with machine tools and other equipment se pment valued at about f4,000 presented to the college by the Perkins Group.
