• Stonways Brothers of Marple has been fined £600 by West Bromwich magistrates for using a truck without an Operator's Licence and failing to carry out a two-yearly inspection of its tachograph equipment.
The firm said in a letter to the court that the truck had gone empty to Farnborough to collect a car and it was unaware an 0-licence was needed.
