Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

FELIXSTOWE services to Zeebrugge, Europort and Northern Ireland are still out of action folowing strike action by 740 seamen.

The six vessels out of action are ro-ro and container ships. A Port of Felixstowe spokesman told CM that some of the freight traffic was using other services, but on the Felixstowe-Rotterdam service in particular a lot of traffic was being lost.

The strike, over a company pay offer of 2.5 per cent backdated to January this year against the seamen's demands for a five per cent backdated to July 5, is set to continue for some time, as no meetings between management and seamen have yet been agreed.
