Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE WELL-PUBLICISED change in the financial structure of Daf has had a positive effect on customer reaction according to Phil Ives, managing director of Daf Trucks (GB).

Last month International Harvester and a Dutch consortium Gemeenschappliijke Deelneming Daf Trucks (ODD) signed a letter of intent for two thirds of II-1's 37.5 per cent holding in Daf to be sold to GDD.

The remainder of the 1H share will be transferred to a trust fund. Mr Ives told CM that the move has increased operator confidence in Daf as IH is now known to have no involvement in the Dutch company: Previously it had been felt that the well-known financial problems of IH were having a detrimental effect on the Daf image.
