Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

that under EEC regulations a logbook must be issued to "crew members" whether drivers or not. I have a removal firm and my sons sometimes accompany the vehicles to gain experience. Are they counted as crew members ?

This matter is amplified further on page 14 of the booklet. From this you will see that only those members of the crew who actually assist in operating the vehicle— as distinct from porters who help to load and unload—need be counted as crew members who must have a logbook. How' ever, if any personnel (including porters) actually help in manoeuvring the vehicle or takes any other part in its operation, then they must have a logbook as a crew member.
