A new site had been acquired and instructions given for building work to commence. When the new premises were ready additional fitting staff would be engaged.

Mr A. B. Thomson, distribu tion manager, said it was planned to have a complete changeover to articulated vehicles.

In final submission it was suggested that four immediate prohibitions in two years was not a bad record for the size of fleet. The system had not been adequate because staff problems had not been resolved quickly enough, but there was now a very different picture than in April.
