• The Lahore Transport Co Ltd, a new Bradford company, is starting a service in August to Lahore. Pakistan: the 6250-mile journey will take nearly three weeks at a cost per seat of f45—accommodation and food extra.
The company is obtaining an AEC Duple coach from Kirkby and Co. of Anston, near Sheffield. The vehicle will be painted blue to withstand hot climates, have modifications made to its cooling system, be fitted with electric brake retardation, and carry two spare wheels and extra fuel tanks. It is expected that another coach will be bought later in the year.
