THE PORT of Antwerp has had an increase of about five per cent in ro-ro traffic for the first nine months of 1981 when compared with the same period of 1980.
Container traffic has also risen in amount when compared with 1980.
A total of 23.3m tons of general traffic cargo was handled, an increase of 7.9 per cent on the previous year. However, with the decrease in bulk cargo traffic, the overall result for 1981 remains 4.4 per cent under the 1980 figure.
