HE first of London Transport's order for 164 Metropolitan louble-deckers has just been delivered. After crew training, 12 >f the buses are scheduled to start work in March on route 36 ind the whole of the batch should be received by November of his year.
LT plan to allocate all the vehicles to south division garages o concentrate both engineering and operating training at a mall number of locations.
Some design changes have been made from the standard eletropolitan specification for LT. These include fitting a bellord instead of a push button on the lower deck and a single olding door at the front. entrance.
