Southport Town Council has resolved to purchase a second motor fire-engine.

Blackrock U.D.C., Co. Dublin, will probably erect a new fire station on the Kingstown boundary.

The authorities at Warrington are still considering the advisability of purchasing a motor fire-engine.

Binglev U.D.C. Brigade held its annual dinner at the beginning of the month. Superintendent Holmes did all in his power to urge the conversion of consideration for a motor fire-engine to positive action.

Some Hull people think the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Hull, to give Hull its full name, is " 50 years behind the times." No allowance has been made in the 1913 estimates for such a purchase, although the Chairman of the Fire Brigade states that "the question of a motor engine has not been lost sight of."
