Standardization of Automobile Ports.—Correspondenee with the Engineering Standards Committee, in which they asked the C.M.U.A. to appoint a representative upon the sub-committee appointed to deal with piping, sparking plugs, -spanners and unions, was reported. Mr. F. C. A. Coventry was elected to represent the C.M.U.A.

igkt Skater Committee.—A further report of the Night Shelter Committee was received. Particulars of accommodation in a number of towns on the main routes, including depots. market squares, and hotel yards. had been furnidied, and the Night Shelter Committee honed to issue the first preliminary list by the date of the annual general meeting.

11 ark ney Carriage 1.ivence8.—A letter was read from the London Omnibus Owners Federation asking the 0.M.U.A. to take up with the authorities the question of increasing the allowance made in respect of licences for hackney carriages taken out after 1st October in any year. Steps were to be taken in the matter.

and E. LoneR. CJLILA.—The secretary reported the result of his visit to Blackburn to attend a general meeting of the N. and E. Lancs. C.M.U.A.. when the Association had decided to take advantage of the Unlimited FreeLegal Defence Scheme for the whole of its members.

Bradford Corporation Bill—The terms of the Bradford Corporation Bill, in which the corporation sought powers to levy local charges uoon heavy commercial motor vehicles, were considered.
