FAIRFUELUK (FFUK) is looking for a truck manufacturer, haulier or insurance company to become the campaign’s ifth backer. Along with the Road Haulage Association, the Freight Transport Association, the RAC and the Fuelcard Company, the ifth backer would join FFUK as it prepares for National Fair Fuel Day on 7 March when a mass lobby of Parliament is planned, calling for a cut in fuel duty ahead of the Budget on 22 March.
“The campaign has played a major part in saving the industry over £700m in the last year,” says campaign founder Peter Carroll.
