Dublin-based general haulier Alltrans has been using Move-It to help manage a 38-strong fleet for more three years; operations director Lochlann Doherty finds the software very user-friendly.
He particularly appreciates its ability to import jobs from Excel spreadsheets, which is how Alltrans tends to exchange job information with pallet network Pall-Trans.
This has effectively done away with the need for dozens of people struggling with job data-entry in the evenings, Doherty reports.
He also likes the POD-scanning system, and the rate-card and manifest features: "The reporting is also very good. You can quickly pull out revenue reports by customer, driver, vehicle or trailer. It's good information to have and although other system"; can usually give you the same information its often in a very roundabout way Eureka's aftersales support is also a plus, Doherty adds: 'Anything rye asked to be done has been done. 'Don't' just doesn't come into it."
Little wonder that Doherty is highly satisfied with the product. "Overall, I'd give it eight or nine out of 10 nine, probably," he says.
Tipperary-based Craig Transport has used the software for about a year to manage the workload of its 40-strong fleet and is another happy user.
Financial controller Tim Ryan echoes Lochlann Doherty's appreciation of Move-IT's ability to display revenue by customer and vehicle, as well as the vehicle-availability overview: "You can see cleariy what your vehicle availability is-very handy for a transport manager."
Ryan also likes the way the rate-card system can calculate invoices per pallet or per tonne. Overall, Craig Transport is "very happy" with the software: "It's very good value for money and has paid for itself very quickly. I'd give it nine out of 10."
