AN objector to applications by a Sheffield coach proprietor at Leeds last week for a number of day excursions was told that he had had ample time to make a similar application had he wished. C. G. Littlewood, Ltd., Burngreave Road, Sheffield, applied to operate day excursions to Barmouth, Bath, the R.A.F. Memorial at Runnymede and Hampton Court.

E. H. Sims, Ltd., of Ellin Street, Sheffield, objected to the grant of the applications for the R.A.F. Memorial and Hampton Court.

Mr. C. G. Littlewood, managing director of the applicant firm, said that before putting in the application he had contacted other operators, who had no objection, and British Railways.

Replying to Mr. J. E. Hanson, for Sims, Mr. Littlewood said he included Hampton Court and the R.A.F. Memorial because several people suggested it would be suitable for a day tour.

Major F. S. Eastwood, chairman of the Yorkshire Traffic Commissioners, pointed out that Sims had earlier had several applications for new destinations, but they did not include Hampton Court, though they had ample time to do so.

The applications were granted. .
