Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MD Craig Leslie is concerned about cuts in transport infrastructure spending announced by the Scottish Parliament last month.

Scotland's freight budget will fall from £10.3m in 2010-11 to £2.9m next year.

However, work on the M74 and M80 motorways escaped the cuts in the Scottish budget, planned upgrades to the M8 will also. go ahead, and vital spending on the Forth crossing — worth in excess of £2bn — will be protected.

Leslie says: "The continuing development of the road system in Scotland is crucial, so any cuts are not welcomed.

"We will be happy if the upgrades to the M8 go ahead as the road between Glasgow and Edinburgh is a vital one for businesses in Scotland.

"At the moment it's all about economic recovery," he says.
