BIBBY DISTRIBUTION has applied to transfer the Cereal Partners' UK facility in Me 1ksham, Wilts, from the Taygroup licence onto its own.

The authorisation for Bibby at the Portal Road site will remain the same — 10 vehicles and 30 trailers.

In August, Bibby bought Taygroup for an undisclosed sum.

Bibby says that over time it will integrate Taygroup into its UK operations and as part of this move the latter business will take on the Bibby Distribution name.

Midland Transport VFOLLOWING a public inquiry last month, Midland Transport, based in West Park Road, Smethwick, has been granted authority for three vehicles and six trailers.

The permission is subject to the following undertakings:

.: Maintenance systems, maintenance documentation and vehicle inspections will be audited by the Road Haulage Association within six months and thereafter every six months. Audit reports will be prepared and acted upon.

There will be a nil-defect daily driver reporting system.

All tachographs will be independently analysed and monthly reports will be prepared, acted upon and retained for at least two years.

Ryder 111 RYDER has applied for authorisation to base five vehicles and the same number of trailers at the Ben teler Distribution facility in Greets Green Road, West Bromwich. Benteler is one of the largest steel tube manufacturers in Europe.
