TRANSPORT Minister William Rodgers announced on Monday that he is to write off £53.1 million of the National Freight Corporation capital debt In an answer to a question from Labour MP Stanley Cohen, Mr Rodgers said the capital debt was to be reduced to £100 million as the first step in the financial reconstruction of the NFC. The write-off is to include all Freightliners debt and all but £5 million of National Carriers debt.
