A. WARMLEY (near Bristol) general deale was put "on probation" by the Wester Licensing Authority, Mr. J. R. C. Samuel Gibbon, in Bristol last week. Mr. J. A Slade, holder of a C licence, was called so the L could consider giving a direction under Sectio 178 of the Road Traffic Act.

Mr. Samuel-Gibbon revoked Mr. Slade's licence which was renewable on September 3 but as a period of probation, granted his renew application for 12 months only, adding: " during the course of that 12 months he gets in further trouble then it will be quite obvious to r I could not treat him leniently again."
