AGAINST the advice of their union leaders, -bus workers employed by Bolton Transport Department have confirmed that they will not work on Christmas Day if the services do not end at 8 p.m. The transport committee have also confirmed their decision-that a normal Sunday service shouldoperate on Christmas Day.

ONLY 35 ROADWORTHY

QF 150 buses inspected by the special examiners in Ceylon, only 35 were found to be roadworthy. Colombo operators have agreed with the Minister of Transport to have their vehicles inspected, but so far only 150 out of 1.200 buses have been submitted. The Motor Transport Commission have now ordered all vehicles to be inspected.
