Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

T 1ST 14 of transport units was L4 announced on Tuesday evening. It will be issued on January 18 and will contain approximately 250 units with about 325 vehicles, which will be for sale in most parts of Britain. Most of the vehicles have been offered before, but some are being put up for the first time. This list contains, subject to final audit, all the vehicles remaining for disposal, allowing for the retention by the British Transport Commission of 7,750 general-haulage vehicles.

Tenders will close on February 22.

GRIMSBY TO END AGREEMENT WITH CLEETHORPES

THE agreement with Cleethorpes, by which revenue frombus services operating between the two towns is shared, is to be ended next month by Grimsby Transport Committee. Three months' notice of their intention to end the through services between the towns is also being given, and if no new agreement is reached the buses operated by both undertakings will stop at the boundary. Grimsby considers the agreements 30 years behind the times and, Whilst the Grimsby undertaking the major partner in the sharing agreement, Cleethorpes' revenue during the past year was five times greater than that of Grimsby.

AVON TO BUY SPENCER MOULTON?

AN offer to purchase the ordinary share capital of Geo. Spencer Moulton and Co., Ltd., Bradford-onAvon, Wilts, has been made by the Avon India Rubber Co., Ltd. Directors of Spencer Moulton, old-established rubber manufacturers, are recommending acceptance. It is Avon's intention to keep Spencer Moulton in being and to continue their policies of production and development_ Eventually the general rubber production of Avon will be concentrated at Bradford-on-Avon with that of Spencer Moulton, and it is hoped that as a result Avon's tyre production at Melksham will be raised by 50 per cent. by 1958.
