Cheshire Roof Trusses

CHESHIRE ROOF TRUSSES has been given the go-ahead to remove its operating centre on the Fairway Trading Estate in Widnes from its licence. It has also been given the green light to base two vehicles at Dark Lane, Kingsley, Frodsham, subject to conditions and undertakings: • the authorised vehicles shall enter and exit the operating centre in forward gear; • a designated parking, turning and loading/ unloading area shall be marked out within two months of the licence being granted. Photographic evidence of this shall be supplied to the TC; • the entrance to the operating centre shall be maintained to ensure mud/debris is not transferred onto the public highway; • the authorised vehicles shall enter and exit the operating centre via the B5152 Norley Road and not through Kingsley Village, Hollow Road, B5153; • the authorised vehicles shall not exceed 17.5-tonne gross plated weight.

WH Malcolm

WH MALCOLM has applied to remove its yard at Blencowe Quarry in Newbiggan, Penrith from its O-licence. The company wants to base 23 vehicles and 23 trailers at the Bulmans Yard on the Penrith Industrial Estate.

DHL

DHL IS now allowed to station 150 vehicles and 200 trailers at the Phoenix Building in North Road, Ellesmere Port.

Lewis Tankers

LEWIS TANKERS can base three vehicles and three trailers at the Millers of Longton site in Gill Lane, Longton, Preston.

Simon Walker (Transport)

SIMON WALKER (Transport) is looking to base six vehicles and one trailer at a site in Atlantic Way, Barry.

Geo Siddall (Transport)

GEO SIDDALL (Transport) has received authorisation for 20 vehicles and 20 trailers at a facility in Sandy Hill Park, Matlock, subject to the following conditions: • all authorised vehicles shall enter and leave the operating centre by way of the relief road; • no vehicle maintenance shall take place on authorised vehicles or trailers at the operating centre; • the hours of operation for authorised vehicles at the facility must be between 5am and 7pm, Mondays to Fridays; between 5am and 4pm on Saturdays; and between 7am and 4pm on Sundays, with a maximum of three departures and three arrivals on Sundays.

R Smith & Son (Denbigh)

R SMITH & Son (Denbigh) hopes to get authority for two vehicles at the Coal Yard in Graig Road, Denbigh.

FORTHCOMING PUBLIC INQUIRIES North Western and Welsh traffic areas Warrington

• Liverpool-based New Starr, trading as Brunswick International Freight Terminal, will appear at a PI on 22 August, at which disciplinary action will be considered. The repute of the transport manager at the business will also be on the agenda.

• A PI on 30 August will consider disciplinary action against Buymoors Haulage based in Manchester. The TC will also consider the transport manager’s repute.

• At a PI on 31 August, disciplinary action against Matlock-based MA Petts Haulage, as well as the transport manager’s repute, will be on the agenda.

• A PI on 25 September will look at disciplinary action against Venus Foods, based in Manchester.

• On 26 September, a PI will look at disciplinary action against Ramson Vehicle Logistics based in Bury. The repute of the transport manager will be examined and the firm will also make a variation application.

Aberystwyth

• Disciplinary action against RPO Williams Civil Engineers, based in Llanerchymedd, will be discussed at a hearing on 23 August. The TC will also look at a new application from related firm RPO Williams Civil Engineers Limited.
