Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

with major launches from Foden, Leyland Daf and Mercedes. For its first year at Manchester's G-MEX Centre the show will include most of the major chassis manufacturers.

The biggest stand will be Foden's, where the spotlight will be on the latest Alpha range of heavy trucks (CM 2-8 April). The tippers, Alpha 3000s, will appear in 6x4 and 8x4 guise. Engine choices range from 7.2 and 10.3-litre Caterpillars to the Cummins M11; the cabs are almost identical to Leyland Dal's 75 and 85 Series.

The Foden and Leyland Daf stands will be close to each other, which will give operators a good chance to compare the commonality of parts. Daf is using TipCon for the UK launch of its CF Series—an 85.340 eight-wheeler will be there, alongside a 75.290 6x4.

Mercedes' Atego middleweight will make its debut in the UK.

Iveco's 7.5-tonne Cargo will be represented by an ML75E15K belonging to Associated Asphalt. It will be joined by a 26-tonne Super Cargo with a PPG alloy tipper body and a 32tonne EuroTrakker IVIP340E34H with a multilift hook lift system for bulk waste skips.

Scania's TipCon line-up will be spearheaded by a brace of eight-wheelers: a P114 and a P124. The P114 has a Trent Industries tipping body and Hyva underfloor tipping gear; the P124 sports a WBS aggregate body.

On the Volvo stand you'll find an FH12 tractive unit, two FL12 8x4s and an FL7 6x4. The Mitsubishi Canter, distributed in the UK by Volvo, will appear in 3.5-tonne and 6.3-tonne tipper versions—the Canter 63 has a crew cab. Seddon Atkinson will display a range of Cummins-engined tippers: the Strato 32.340M 8x4, the 26.305M 6x4 and the 18.235B 4x2. Hino will show its 6x4 and 8x4 chassis, and Renault and MAN will be there too.

Other manufacturers at the show will include Dennison, with its first disc-braked tipping nailer; and PM On Board, with a selection of new weighing equipment ID TipCon '98 takes place at the G-MEX Centre, Manchester, from 23-26 April. Contact 01932 838922.
